Looking for a fun and affordable way to keep the family entertained during the Easter holidays? Head along to Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life for two weeks packed with activities, entertainment and hands-on experiences for all ages.
Set in the heart of North Lanarkshire, Summerlee is the perfect day out for families. Visitors can explore the museum’s fascinating industrial heritage, take a mine tour (running daily from 10am–4.15pm, and 12.30pm–4.15pm on weekends), enjoy the outdoor play area, stop by the café for a bite to eat and visit the much-loved old-fashioned sweetie shop for a nostalgic treat.

Build your own den in the Summerlee Woods. Summerlee Museum staff will be on hand with tips and tricks for building the best den. All equipment is supplied.
Once your den is built there will be games and a chance to relax in your den. Why not bring a picnic or a book to read?
One ticket provides one den building kit for your group to use. This activity is best for children aged 5 and above, but children of any age can participate. Groups must have at least one adult present at all times.
Wear clothing suitable for outdoor activity and uneven ground. Be prepared for wet weather – only high winds will prevent this activity from taking place.
